DIY hand painted napkins tutorial!
These dishes were my inspiration. I just happened to have the same stencil pattern on hand that I picked up at hobby lobby.
Just a close up.
One nice thing I have found that stenciling on fabric is so simple and there are
No RUNS.
Start with a plain white napkin, and fold it over on each side length wise.
I did actually press the ones I did already, but this is just a quickie to show you.
Take your stencil and place it over the napkin. Don't worry if it does not cover the entire napkin.
I then taped it down on each side.
As I started the stenciling process I did hold the stencil down lightly in place, as you can see there are some gaps here. However, once you start rolling, it does not matter....
I love my little stencil roller..I also picked one up from Hobby lobby.
I use it all the time.
Start rolling away....
For the little blue flowers...
And that is that. I did add a personalized letter Monogram on mine. Can't wait to share with you my table setting soon.

Thank you for the tutorial. I got the idea now. You're so generous to show us this. Will have a go soon.
Does Hobby Lobby have a good stencil selection? I was at Michael's and JoAnn's yesterday and they had almost NOTHING to choose from. It was too late to make a trip to HobLob and they are closed today sooooooo......
I had planned to stencil my rug today. I ended up purchasing a stencil at Michael's but I am not in love with it. Perhaps I should wait and go check out HL tomorrow....
Thanks for the inspiration....now I have ANOTHER project on my list!
wow,, I thought you painted those with a brush! This is a great idea,, I love this,, I would have never thought of stenciling cloth,, here I would have just been slogging away painting leaves,, this is much easier!!!Thankyou for sharing this beautiful project.Love the colors as well, I love white napkins,,this is just so summery,.
This does look do-able. Sure wish I hadn't taken of all my stencils to the Salvation Army last month !
