Coming out of the closet, the second time around!

Pardon my absence the last few days out here in blog land.
I have been on a mission to clean out some closets.  I have a  LARGE donation waiting at the door if anyone is interested!
Actually someone is coming on Wednesday and I am happy to help.
So while I was at it, I decided to revamp our little TV room office....

You may recall this from long ago...

Desk was originally Oak, then I painted it black...

Today I hauled it out of there...

I mixed Old white and Provence blue Annie Sloan Chalk paint, to create a lighter shade of blue...

I added these knobs that I removed from a nightstand that I now put in the closet.

What would a Debbiedoo's project be without a little stenciling?

This shot I used the flash, as this room gets little light, and I wanted you to be able to see the color...

I heavily distressed it, so not only the black peeked through, so did the original Oak..

I like it!

Now we can look out the window instead of a wall.

And did I mention, I have two CLEAN closets! YAY!!~

Mom you actually will have room in the guestroom closet for all your clothes and more!

Wow, very cool Debbie, just love those knobs too...I've been on a break too, but mine is packing up stuff to take home from the farmhouse and I only have 3 days left...taking most everything home since we only spend 2 weeks a year here..leaving all the roosters though!

What a nice makeover with such cute little knobs! And congrats on clean closets--something I don't have.

Your title is catchy and you may get some extra traffic from it! A couple of weeks ago when I did a post of porch swings I entitle it "Swinging". Then I started to notice a referrel site showing up that I didn't recognize. It was an "alternative lifestyle" site!!

Which reminds me, my little geckos multiply like crazy & I have pictures of them (call me a voyeur)and they are so cute. I've thought about posting them with a title that included X-Rated pictures. Maybe that would be asking for it. (Sometimes I digress!)

I love the shade you created with the AS paint. I have got to get some! I'm waiting on the Pure White to come out. I'm not sure how different it will be from the old white. Does the Old White have a lot of yellow in it?

Debbie,

Ditto on all the great comments about the desk re-do! The color turned out great and the desk in front of the window makes a nice vignette in the room.

I'm very drawn to the fabric in the drapes that now frames the desk. Did you make the drapes? If so, do you recall the name of the fabric / where purchased? If you purchased the drapes, details if you recall.

Thanks
Robin
