DIY pillows out of placemats NO SEW!
Peggy does not have a blog but she has a shop on line you can go check out.
Until one day my younger boy spilled some red juice all over them!
Fortunetly, I was able to clean it and the stain was removed. With that being said I removed them from the table. Fabric and boys just do not go well together. A few days ago I had a brain storm!

Great idea Debbie, now you can use them all around your house! They look great! Martina
I love those. Good idea and maybe they will stay clean a lot longer. thanks for joining the party.
Now that is a great idea!! Love your choice of placemats and who knew it could be so easy to make them into pillows! You are amazing Miss Debbie!!
Really great idea! And it isn't just boys that have that problem, it includes spaghetti eating men!
what a grat idea~
great idea and they look fab!!!
xo, M
I find it so hard to keep nice looking placemats at the kitchen table. Hubby is a stain making kind of guy, so I've finally just opted for some ugly leather looking ones that can be wiped clean.
Yours really did make nice looking pillows! And so easy too.
There you go, Debbie Dear, being the smartest one again! I love it! Those are really pretty place mats and they make a wonderful pillow.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You had me at "no sew"! Love these. Now I will start searching yard sales and thrifts for some cute place mats
to repurpose. If I wore a hat, it would be off for you:)
I love your ingenuity. I wish I could find some fabric in that pattern. I would love to use it around here.
You did do it & they turned out great! Clever idea to turn them into pillows.
Awesome idea. I used to use a webbing tape that you would iron on, but it kept getting stuck to my iron. But this looks so much easier!
WOW, that is a great idea! You got me at NO SEW! Have to try it, thanks for sharing!
Debbie, what a great idea. Why can't I think up great things like this? You never cease to amaze me, well done and so cute! XO ~Liz
Wow great idea Debbie, leave it to you to think that one up!
it would take me 10 minutes to set my machine up!This I love, I have my machine set up most times because I'm a sewer but I also love this stuff works great! Beautiful!!
They turned out perfectly...Great idea!!!
Those were cute placemats and now they are cute as ever pillows. I love to repurpose things. It gives stuff a whole new life. Cute project Debbie!
Danielle
That's a great idea! I use fabri-tac on everything. I don't own a sewing machine and if I did, I would have to be taught how to use it. So using glue is faster and cheaper! Your pillows look very professional. I'd never know they were placemats in a former life.
Thanks for the tip. The placemats make wonderful looking pillows!
Dee
Hi lovely lady.
This was a great idea Debbie.
Your pillows are Beautiful !!! You always amaze me.
XXOO Diane
The placemats are beautiful and make great pillows. What a great idea and easy...that is my kind of project! hugs, Linda
Those pillows look great. I've never seen that "glue" before. I wonder if it would hem pants.
AWESOME!!!! You are so clever!!!
Those are fabuless! I never think to look at placemats that way and I did read about this somewhere else on the internet but it still doesn't hit me when I see them in a store! Maybe now it will since you posted about it:)
I absolutely love them! I have a project I'm working on right now and I really don't want to drag my sewing machine out So that glue would be perfect! Great job!
Vanessa
These are so cute. I love the place mats.
Debbie, what a great idea!! I just love seeing all of the novel ideas that you come up with! This was really cute!
Wow Debbie, you are so clever! Those pillows are adorable, I want some now too! Thanks for the quick lesson!
Nancy
Fabulous idea! I don't sew so liquid stitch sounds like my kind of product. Those place mats are really pretty and made even prettier pillows!
The pillows look wonderful, Debbie. Nate Berkus suggested this project on one of his earlier shows, along with using a fabric shower curtain to cover dining room chair cushions - they're already treated to repel liquids!
Have a lovely evening, Debbie!
~ Wendi ~ xo
I think that is a great idea!
O'Debbie, I love those pillows! You are such an inspiration. Now I'll be on the lookout for some placemats. You're idea is a whole lot easier than sewing.
Enjoy your day,
Gail
You had me at "no sew" !! I am "sew" trying this !! Har Har Thanks for sharing.
Debbie...so no sew..I have often thought about using the liquid stitch, does it hold and last?..I have to drag the sewing machine out of hiding, find the right color thread, thread the needle,etc..it sometimes isn't worth the trouble for small projects,it is good to know if the liquid stitch is the answer to my small projects, thanks for sharing and I LOVE these place-mat pillows.

I found your link at WUW, and just how stinking clever is your idea?!! And they look awesome! I do sew, but have recently fell in love with no-sew glue and this idea couldn't be more perfect for it! Thanks for the enlightenment!
Hi!!! Loving everything you have done decorating for fall and Halloween! The pillows were a great idea. I haven't seen placemats like that. I did just buy a french writing pillow at Homegoods for $18 which I thought wasn't bad. Great job!
