Does your husband cook?

Now I have to say, I only know of one other husband out here in blog land that cooks, and that is Pam's {Design fantatic} husband.
I do believe he is a pastry chef...lucky girl!

My husband loves to cook and when he does it is always delightful.  I only have a quick post and a few pics to share, but I wanted to know how many of your guys actually take on the kitchen once in a while.
This particular day was a gorgeous Fall outdoor dining experience.
Mike cooked German food.

Of course we needed our veggies and he just doctored up some carrots.

It was a glorius day indeed!

I do have a keeper.
Now don't get me wrong, this is not an every day occurrence here...
but I will say when Mike is off, he likes the kitchen too.

Hubby/boyfriend/significant other cook, or NO cook?
Perhaps you would rather him NOT!
I had to get this post out here, as Fall is leaving us quickly and I have a few more Fall posts to share.

This looks incredible!! He really knows how to make a spread!! The table looks lovely, too! So rustic and farmhousey!!

Hubby here does not cook. He can make a bagel!! he grew up with a nanny and really likes to be doted on. It's okay because I love to cook, but it would be a treat sometimes!

Jane

My hubby can cook...the question is will he cook? lol. I'd rather do the cooking and him do the cleaning cause boy do I hate the after dinner clean up!

My husband is the cook in our family. I have to cook in order for the family to survive during the week, but on the weekends he takes over full time. Every Sunday night my parents come for dinner and he makes a new recipe, usually something incredible. His mom was a home economics teacher and he was a latch key kid and the combo turned him into a real chef. Funny enough, my son has started to help him on the weekends and is really learning to cook (and my daughter has little interest in cooking...kinda like me).

No cook here! And NO THANKS because the few time he HAS cooked there is a HUGE-I mean HUGE- mess. The story at our house was if Dad was cooking and the fire decector went off - dinner was ready. I'm serious. I can't tell you how many times that happened...about as many as he "cooked". xo Diana

I also have three brothers that like cooking too. In fact, one of them was a grill cook in a restaurant.

You lucky girl! He seems to cook quite well too! I have always loved to cook, and hubby loves to eat, so it is a win win! But in the past few years though, he has taken a bit of an interest in certain things we make. We have found we love to make pizzas together. And bread! Other than that, he does not cook.

This all looks fantastic. How fun is it for him to take over and do a little cooking. No, my DH has no idea what to do in the kitchen. I even had to show him how to warm a cinnamon roll in the micro the other day. lol. I think the kitchen just scares him, but then his mother didn't cook either. Hugs, Marty

I am married to a firefighter so in a word....yes! He didn't know how to cook anything before he became a firefighter though. They're on their own so they either have to learn to cook or eat out all day. He cooks better than me! He made homemade beef stew last night and I told him I wished I remembered to take pics so I could blog about it with the recipe. It was delicious. I love a man that can cook! Hang on to yours too!! That food he cooked looks delicious.

My husband does get an itch to cook, but I'm not sure it is worth the mess he makes when he's doing it. It's kind of like "here's your dinner honey" and off he goes to watch football leaving behind the aftermath of every ingredient and dish he used. I try not to say anything...at least he tried.

What a beautiful table! Looks like a wonderful meal.

My husband is a fantastic cook. I do all the baking, candy-making, etc., but Jack is a wonderful chef. He also loves the Food Network and likes to try new recipes, especially from Giada DeLaurentiis and Tyler Florence. What's more, my middle son (now 18 years old) also loves to cook. His favorite is Alton Brown--we've had some amazing Alton dishes over the years.

Let me just say. . . if someone else will do the cooking, I'm happy to wash the dishes! :)

what are the balls, they look like theres potato in them,, looks good, he did really well, lucky you!
My husband cooks breakfast and since he retired he does cook, when I was recovering from the head injury and now my sight has gone kaput he does cook, it is possible to train this beast,, it just takes time and as for cleaning up, that takes even longer training and maybe a big whip, no I'm kidding now whip,,
anyone who has a husband who loves to cook is very lucky in my book.
