Greetings from Savannah, GA!

Hey Y'all! Sorry I have been missing in action for a few days!
We are on a family getaway in Savannah, GA..
My boys are in total awww of the moss trees!
Jack wants to know if we can take some home.

Of course coming to Savannah would not be right unless we did two things...
One was eat at the famous Paula Deen's... {Lady&sons}
For the record this was my second plate of food.  I did the all you can eat buffet...
can someone stick a pin in me NOW!
Alex decided to get the Paula's chicken pot pie..needless to say the boy was a very happy one!
It was AMAZING!

and the second thing I had to do today and one of my favorite parts of the day, was getting to meet my sweet friend
That's Ginger, me and My Mom!
Ginger and her sweet husband Bob met us for lunch and it was ever so delightful!

Today is your last day to hop on in
Ginger's lovely giveaway

Can't wait to catch up with you all.
I am getting a lousy connection here in the hotel, so gotta run.

I LOVE Savannah! It's my favorite weekend destination. I love how you can park your car in the hotel parking lot and not use it the entire weekend because you walk everywhere. There are so many good restaurants in Savannah. Glad you got to meet Ginger!

What fun to meet Ginger and to eat at Paula's!If you bring moss home, put it in a plastic bag and seal it.When you get home, open the bag and spray insecticide inside and seal again for a few days-if you are planning to bring it inside-don't ask how I know you should do this! If you are going to put it in a tree outside I would still leave it in a bag until I got home.

How fun! My old stomping grounds. We lived there for 10 years. I really miss it. When we first moved there, Lady and Sons was not famous yet. That buffet was $5 per plate! Great food! If you have time, go to Two Smart Cookies on White Bluff (across from the Oglethorpe Mall.) Their cookies are to die for!

Savannah is heavenly! So glad you got to eat at Lady & Sons too. I'm sure you had lots of "butter" in that food. :-) Hey, you gotta take advantage of a good thing when you can.

Great that Ginger was able to meet up with you!

It is good to see a picture of the moss trees. I read a novel recently that mentioned these several times, and I hadn't a clue what they were. Now I know!
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Tell the boys they can't take the spanish moss home. If you look closely it kills the tree where there is a bunch of it. Looks like you had fun! Happy Thanks!

Debbie, what a fun trip! Hope you get a chance to take the bus tour to see the sites from the movie, "In The Garden Of Good And Evil". Also, the Catholic Church across the street from house in the movie is a must see. It's beyond gorgeous. http://www.savannahcathedral.org/
Now, I want to return!!!;)

Now I am thinking I need to make some macaroni and cheese. That looks yummy! Have fun in Savannah. I think the moss might not keep too well in Jack's suitcase.
