JOY { DIY holiday ornaments}
When Stephanie from Under the table and dreaming asked me If I would like to guest post for her on ornaments, it was perfect timing because I had just completed this quick little craft.
{This here craft is one my little guy did a few years back}
Obviously he can work with glitter, read on....
I seem to be spreading lots of JOY around the house these days...what you don't believe me?
Sure I am just ask my family...NOT!
These could however, be hung on the tree too!

I painted my letters for tonights wow but they didnt get dry..
Nice idea...seems quick and easy...that's the kind of project I like! Turned out cute :)
I love the letters!! The pointsetta looks pretty in your tureen too!
Oh I love that... That would even be great in a Library done in the words " BOOKS" or "READ" thanks for stopping by today and linking up at my party... It seemed to have a BUMPY start... :)
Nice to know I am not the only one that has disasters while crafting! But, these turned out wonderful,,,,,much better than just plain glitter!
That looks great, Debbie. Love the added pages to the letters.
You are goooood girl!! Love the way JOY turned out, great idea using the pages. Pretty poinsettia too and I love your tureen. Have a great night friend, Martina
Love your JOY Debbie!!!
Love the mod podged letters! So cute and the word JOY is always wonderful. hugs, Linda
Some people just have the knack (you) and some people don't (me). Why is that???? I think it's beautiful.
Love your letters. Our sermon Sunday was on joy, so they're esp meaningful to me.
I just love your letters. They came out awesome.
Both great ideas! You and your son did good!
Enjoy your evening.
Bah humbug!! I hate glitter too! But, I love your letters!

Debbie, the letter ornaments turned out wonderful and brought me joy. hugs♥O
So cute, Debbie!
The glitter pine cone brings back memories from when I was little. We made those all the time.
Great JOY.... but don't think for a second you are going to get that Red and White Christmas Doily by me. I see it. Things might settle for a while, so I'll have to look for something fun like this to do.
Oh WOW, I love this, Debbie--It is completely gorgeous--As always, YOU INSPIRE!!!! and have the dearest heart!
XO

Gorgeous as always, Debbie!
Looks like you've been having fun crafting Debbie. I love to decoupage too. I like the way you have the letters staggered in the way you have them displayed. Sorry I haven't come around much lately. Been swamped with the holiday stuff, but I hope you and your family are having a wonderful Christmas season.
Another fabulous idea by Debbie! The letters look awesome with torn book pages and hints of glitter. Sorry to hear about your break up, though, with lots of glitter ... hate when that happens! LOL
Debbie, this is a fabulous project!
I have to tell you that I also officially hate glitter! LOL
Is everywhere!!!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful ornament project!
Turned out great! I'm not a fan of glitter but I look this combo!
You did such a cute job on those letters! I never thought about buying those from Hobby Lobby and dressing them up. I may do that. I love decorating with letters and numbers.
The are so cute.
That looks great -- love those simple craft projects. I'm a tad bit behind in blogland & madly trying to catch up. Your kitchen is just delightful. Love the repurposed sign -- gotta love chalkboards!
Funny you are having strange weather, because we are as well. It's been raining continuously for 2 days, with temps in the 40's & 50's. We even had a couple of days of freezing (like 26-28) last week. Very strange for our desert area!

Wonderful JOY and have a joyful day.
It seems like you either hate it or love it...glitter! lol I love the word JOY! I may make it my inspiration word for next year! Hugs! ♥
I like the use of colored glitter on the ornaments. I bet they really sparkle with the lights -There is something fun and festive with the use of color. Years ago the kids wanted colored lights for our tree -We had only used white inside and out -I am so glad we switched to have all colored lights on the tree in our home it makes it seem so special. I think a tree with all red lights would be beautiful.

Ok, this is seriously adorable. It would be great to create a Valentine's version :-)
Funny you mention the wood chip letters. I had them in my hand. Wondered..hmmm, what could I do with these. Then put them back. Love your idea! Everything is so sparkly and pretty Deb!!
Debbie, these are so cute! You really are crafty on the fly!!! LOL!
Looks good. I just love all of the ornaments over at Stephanie's. I've been squirreling away ideas for next year's tree.
Love it Debbie!
Hugz,
Kim
These are way cute! Good idea, Debbie!!
Very pretty! Although, I don't know how anyone can hate glitter. Love the torn book pages! Thanks for sharing.
Too cute Deb. And so easy a caveman can do it. That's good news for me!
xoxo,
Kim
What's that fancy new thing that's popping up at the bottom of my screen now. You go. I sent in for blogher, but guess they are not ready for me yet or I need some code or something. Time to find some glitter here. Goodness, know I can make a mess with that.
VERY cute -- I love working with the ultra fine glitter but for days after I look like I'm trying to be a teenager wearing that 'club' glitter! Can't go wrong with book pages ever -- love it!
Hello! yep, it's the season of JOY - my project is a tad bit more rustic than yours but I love them both! You always have such lovely things to share! Come on over and see my diy joy sign ... @ http://robinlynnsroad.blogspot.com/2011/12/tis-season-of-j-o-y.html

I love these. They are so cute. I hate when you think something will work so well and then it's a flop. I guess it just makes us more creative.
Ruth
Very, very, very cute! JOY to you too! You spread so much JOY on your own out here in Blogland. I just love you, kiddo! xo Diana
Love your modpodged letters! And there is nothing prettier than a real poinsettia! Come on over-I'm having a giveaway!
the letters look great.I love the pie safe,
You are so smart! I am like you. I hate the glitter! I love it but hate it too. I bought some mesh fabric with glitter in it for the tree. I took it back after trying one piece. Glitter was everywhere! I think the modge podge pages are the perfect touch!
Such a cute project!
I am forever trying to find letters that spell out specific words, like at Anthropologie, and they are always missing just ONE of the letters!
You have inspired me to make my OWN!
Such a great idea.
Thanks for sharing.
xoox
Merry Christmas, Debbie!
Your Bunco group looks like a lively bunch of sweet gals and that basement is awesome! Nice high ceiling and windows too! Fab! Loved the saddle. :)
