Giani granite paint for countertops!

Good evening everyone! 
Mike is off this week and look at what I am doing...
of course putting the Man to work again around here.  We have been putting off this project for some time.  
I was sent this kit back a few months ago by Giani Granite paint for counter tops.


Here is the during process.
Wish us luck...
tomorrow comes the fun part.


Sanding using 600 grit paper...


Black primer...YIKES we better not mess this up!
So far so good. Great DVD and instructions, that I actually watched and read!

I've never heard of this but will be watching for updates for sure! I would love granite in my master bath but am not sure that is happening anytime soon. We have cultured marble and it looks so dated. Are you painting this on marble or laminate? I can't wait to see the finished result! Good luck!
