Welcome to our home here in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia.
My mother had built this home in 1996 and after a sudden change in her marriage status, we all made the decision to move in together to help her take care of this huge place. It was only to be temporary...but years later, it would prove to become my dream home. Nothing big or fancy, just a nice place to raise a family.
Winter and Spring are my most favorite seasons. I love what the snow does to make everything look so clean and Spring flowers are the best!
A simple little pool...
Mom eventually remarried so we rented for a few years and then decided to buy the home. Since then...I have made it into my dream! Thank goodness I have a wonderful husband and two lovely girls that have allowed me to do so.
This is our livingroom where we all come together. It is open with our kitchen and we love it! Makes it a whole lot easier to get that snack when we're watching a movie.

Where I spend most of my time.....I had to make it as pretty as I could since I'm in here most of my days.

Another guest/slash game room....where we play the wii and watch tv. It is off of the kitchen and is seperated with french doors. Perfect for soundproofing!
And finally...our hallway. Lots of running and playing go on here from our girls. That's what makes a house a home....love and laughter. And of course I have to say without God...we wouldn't be here.

I wish I had pictures of the "before" for this house--y'all wouldn't believe the transformation! Melanie took a simple country home and turned it into a showplace, one that's beautiful and extremely comfortable at the same time. Proud mama? You bet! And, Debbie, I'm so proud of YOU and your accomplishments since we first connected through HGTV's "Rate My Space"! I don't think any of us could have imagined the great strides you and Melanie would take after those first few timid steps to share your talents. Both of you are an inspiration and I'm thankful that I've been able to watch the transformation!

WOW is all I can say. What a gorgeous home. I am like some of the others when I saw the outside. It is not what I expected on the inside at all.(Its not that its bad.. just 60's looking.) Isn't it true with alot of things though. We judge a book by its cover. Well this cover has a TREASURE inside it. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I'm ready to move it. The master bedroom took my breath away. Melonie you should be so pleased with yourself and family. A true dream come true. Love it ALL.

I was just on Pinterest and someone pinned a bunch of these pics and credited it with Debbie-Debbiedoo's...I thought Ok, that is not Debbie's home...I was so confused lol! Wow, her house is gorgeous, not that your home isn't gorgeous too cuz it is but I knew this wasn't it! Love it!

I loved hearing the story about how they acquired their home. It has such a dreamy and cozy look to it. I could just curl up on one of those couches or beds and nap for hours.
