New way to plant your garden seeds.. Exciting!

Spring is in the air. It's time to start planting those seeds right?
Did my title catch your eye?
Hope so, but sorry to tell you, you are not going to find out how to plant your garden seeds here.
Well, well, I don't plant any garden seeds.
Do you?
I did however, love these garden veggie, flower  packet seeds
I spied at the dollar tree the other day for 25 cents a piece.
The colors just looked so happy on the package.

I thought, hmmm...while I am waiting patiently for our yard to start greening up, how about some color in the kitchen window.

I placed some Spring foam stickers over the price tag, I thought if I left the price tag exposed it would look kind of tacky.
And I am full of tack you KNOW!

I stuck a little pack in the ivy too.

How is that for $1.75 window pick me up?
Starting to look like Spring around here!

All I did was hot glue a strand of twine.  I already had small nails on each side of my window sill from back at Christmas time when I did the holiday copy cat challenge.
No biggie to remove the nails and calk it up.

I have been working on my teenagers room all day today. What a job...YIKES,the things we find under the bed!
I think he is going to be pretty happy though when he comes home from school today.
This job was prompted by his request.  He felt he had  a little kiddish room.
Sneak peek for ya!

master bedroom makeover HELP!

Finally, a new bedroom set is in the makings for us.
Although our current set is still in good condition, it is going on 13 years old, and the style is really not what we like anymore.
Our minds have been swirling with ideas.
I thought this is going to be fun, because you all will be coming along this bedroom makeover with us.
Most everything current must go. I will be keeping the trunk and the bench.
Even my fun colorful French posters...GONE....
Here are the every changing Master bedroom looks no particular order here.

The bedding was from Better Home and gardens purchased last year. I still love the fun fresh colors.

So now that you have seen the ever changing Master bedroom.  These are just some of the new looks and styles I am going for.  I do need some help though.
I am really leaning toward a wrought iron bed frame, paired up with a wood sideboard and dresser.

I like the look of the wrought iron.  If we can have a farmhouse, rustic, look, that is what I am going for.

I like the frame only on this, I certainly do not need a pull out in the master bedroom.
Call me crazy, but this last one...I kinda like it.

So as you can see I am all over the place here.
HELP?
Would love any and all ideas. There are so many talented women out here.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.  We are starting from Scratch.
The wall color will remain the same.  The drapes are iffy, depending on what new bedding we wind up with.
I still want to have color, whimsy yet a romantic  feeling.

Coming oUt of the CloSet

I have a very unique and special giveaway you really do not want to miss out on....please check it out HERE
You must see it to believe it! Please check out this office closet post first:)
Let me start off by asking the question....can I use more closet space? You bet I can.  I am overwhelmed with pillows and decor, that I change out per season.  However, my boys could use this space more than I can and it is important to have a nice little quiet work space to call their own.  So what I decided to do last year sometime was make their TV room closet into an office.  For the past year they have neglected it, and banged up the desk.  They really where not using it, because I did not have it set up properly, you live and learn after 1,000 projects.  I decided first I would paint their desk. I love this paint/stain, it actually has the polyurethane in it so it saved that step for me.

This is the BEFORE...notta good working space, and really what was I thinking with the stupid rug for a mat, and flowers...geezzz...

I made this with Jack the other night, baby clothes pins glued together, he just thought this was so cute

This was a super easy slip cover, I used a pillow case, and ironed on the letters.  The pretty teal colored frame came from Walmart and I bought the poster at hobby lobby for $6.00.  I loved the colors and the verse on it.

As you can see I also distressed the edges of the desk with sandpaper, I know they will be nicking the desk so I thought I would make it look a little rugged

Changed out the knobs as well, to simple white

I would say they have a great little space here now! All done on a budget of $50.00! You can't beat that for a makeover.
Thank you hosts for having these linky parties, I could not do it without you!~

Coffee talk series, Are you influenced?

Sooooooo..
many influential bloggers out here, it is hard to keep up with all of them and their amazing projects and creativity!
This past two years I would say, starting off on Rate my space and then expanding my horizons to blogging, I have learned so much. Although, always creative, I would say I have grown.
If I see something I really like, I think what can I do to make it more personal to me?
I usually come up with something.
If you have been reading my blog for a while now,
you know I am colorful..
Yes, I have used ever single one of these colors, on something or another
And to some, I am  even known as the SPRAY paint Queen!
I have always loved me some spray paint, and that has been for many years now.

So anyhow, I got to thinking about influences and whom...
has been influential to you out in blog land?
Has she perhaps encouraged you to step outside your comfort zone and try something new and exciting?

Now that Spring is fast approaching..
You know what I will be doing very shortly,
right?
I invite you to do the same... and show it off here ON
March 25th...
we will call this party,
"Color my World"

Now I am sorry to say,
Black nor white, do not count, I am not saying they are bad
However, they are not on the color wheel.
http://projects.ischool.washington.edu/tabrooks/424/ColorData/ColorWheel.gifI know last year, a lot of gals started spray painting garden accessories, and home decor, because of my influence, well at least that is what they said.
I can tell you many of my friends around my parts of town started spray painiting their world too.

I am hoping this year I can recruit some more, and I want everyone to see it.
Have fun!
See you back on March 25th.
Not showing you the cap, but this will be used for my next project.

Oh one last thing!
I know the weather may not be great in all your parts, so I am thinking, go get yourself a tarp and do it the garage or basement.
Just be sure to remove the can PROMPTLY when finished.
or else....
you may have a big mess..
been there,
done that!
Did I mention this party is only for SPRAY PAINT?!
SO let me know if you are in!

And I must not forget this lovely piece, that can be Yours
