Shabby chic chair makeover

Original
I had mentioned in my guest room makeover post that I had redone this chair going on the third time..
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5tOA2F7YKT4/S-1Q4B5GxjI/AAAAAAAACmE/J1GT21FfzYY/s1600/100_2957.JPG
As you can see this was very shabby chic style, which I loved. But with moving and styles changing it just was not working anymore.
This was our previous guest room and I had done the chair according to that style...
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5tOA2F7YKT4/S_6IyDTdAdI/AAAAAAAAC5I/SSUWAxq2tJQ/s640/100_3381.JPG

However, now the room is once again changed and I am planning on this style for a while now...

I spray painted using one of my favorite colors Bahaus gold by Krylon.  Then I heavily distressed it.
I bought the paisley fabric from hobby lobby, one yard at 3.99, it was on sale.
Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes.
I had a great day!

Love this makeover. Question for you - do you prefer glazing or distressing? I tried the glazing and am not sure if I like it or not (when I do it, not when a master does it)...
