Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree......

Tree is up and all trimmed!~
Just about all our ornaments have a meaning.  They are either home made or were given to us. I even added my own home made ones this year.
I put it in our loft area and it is enjoyed by all.  The boys like it because the upstairs is pretty much their domain.

This little snowman face, I have three of them. A very special friend from RMS made them for me. Thanks Norma! THose are one of Jack's favs.

Now onto some more Christmas fun around our house!
We have 10 years of Christmas water ford ornaments that were given to us each Christmas.

Have had this cool retro light for years now, it is in the boys TV room. This was the extent of their tree in there.

Dollar tree goodies

This ornament was made by my BFF, she knows me very well, and knows I have light bulb moments all the time HA!

Every year my Christmas cactus blooms at the same exact time, that just amazes me that I still have it, and that it does that! Thank you to all of you who wished my Mom a Happy Birthday. It meant a lot to her, and even more to me, knowing how kind and special you are. I want you all to know!  You just can't explain a blogging friend to your "reality friends" I have tried, they do not get it. I am happy you DO!Debbie XXX000 I do believe I have a party or two to attend! I am already late.....

Your tree is quite beautiful and I love the boys ornaments. Your 1950's lamp has a fiberglass shade and they go for around 150-200 dollars on ebay. I bought a similar one for 5 dollars at a yard sale and did some looking on ebay. Having the shade is what makes it valuable apparently. Happy Birthday to your Mom!!!

I love your tree and your special handmade and gifted ornaments..those are the best! The lightbulb one is really cute. I also really like the toy deliveries sign and the nutcrackers up the stairs. I just bought my first christmas cactus this year can you believe that? Then my mom brings me one for Thanksgiving too, atleast it was a different color. She usually gives me amaryllis so it was an unexpected delight. I like the photo of the tree that kinda looks like an xray, it's very neat!

Yeap... I think I will be seeing you there.

Where?

Picnik Rehab - Jan 1st 2011.

We will need to surrender and turn ourselves in.

Seriously, I knew you would have two or more trees. They are wonderful.

Posting done, but dropping after Midnight for the Friday giveaway. That means I get to play tomorrow.

BUI- this has been a fun, but long haul this week.

Time to go read a few paragraphs before dozing off into snowy slumberland. Yes, it's coming down. Dang that means no play but shoveling early. I wouldn't want Liz not to get up the drive to clean.

You know who!!!!

Just beautiful and don't you just love being a mom of boys? I remember browsing the aisles of Toys R Us when my boys were little and I'd go to the girl aisles, look at the dolls and then head on over to the boys aisles to buy plastic guns, army dolls and remote control cars. It's a part of life I never would've enjoyed if I hadn't been a boy mom:)

TOO MUCH TO COMMENT ON!!! My brain can't handle it...where to start? Ok, first I totally agree that you can't explain "blogging" friends to "in your real world" friends. Until you are in it, you can't understand it! And, your pictures are gorgeous, your tree is beautiful and I love that you put it in your loft. I WANT that super cool lamp and I love that you have the Nutcrackers going up the stairs. What a great idea! Thank you so much for linking up to the party this week Debbie and for being a great friend. Not blogging friend, just a friend. Period. :-)

You decorate so Beautifully, Debbie!! & with such 'good taste' too!! :-) My decorated went from 'themes' when I was first on my own. To 'kids' decorations, mostly made by by kids, to a combination of homemade (and kid made) with 'meaningful' decorations. I get rid of a lot of stuff in the last few years & have only kept what is meaningful to the boys and I... along with only the decorations that I love!! & I love all yours!! :-)

I love your tree and handmade ornaments. Your tree is filled with special memories. What a great idea to put it in the loft. I am going to share that idea with my mom. I had fun helping her decorate their tree while I was up there on vacation.

Hi Debbie,
Your tree sure looks beautiful and I love the artistic look to your pictures, I'll have to try that sometime. It's so great that your ornaments all mean so much to you. I purchased all new ornaments last year and the boys didn't like the new ones, they prefer our old ones that don't even match. I guess because they too have more meaning to us than new ones do. Today is the day we decorate our house and put up our tree, in a couple of hours. But I think we are going to mix old ornaments with new ones.

Thanks for stopping by.
