My recent flop!

http://a248.e.akamai.net/f/248/9086/10h/origin-d1.scene7.com/is/image/ballarddesigns/AM380_main?$w400$
Ballard

Mike and I are going antiquing today! YAY...I love when he is off and he wants go do something fun that we both enjoy.
Have you girls seen the recent Ballard catalog?
I spied this cool dog food container, but for 59.00 plus tax and shipping,
No way Josey'!
So I decided I would make my own!
http://a248.e.akamai.net/f/248/9086/10h/origin-d1.scene7.com/is/image/ballarddesigns//AM898_main?$w170$
This white one was my original inspiration...
 Started with a paint tub...cheap like 5.00!
Primed it first, because my first intention was to make a pretty pale lemon color.
First FLOP, it looked terrible.
So I had some chalk board paint on hand...
Ok that is looking a bit better...
Well I think I went overboard now...I could not just have DOG food on it...

Even Lucy looks a bit confused...Now whatcha doing Mom?
Back to her original vignette.
The painting was a gift from a friend..I miss her, she had to move back to Germany, but I have this special piece made with love from her.
XO

So today I have decided I am looking for a big old can...wish me luck!!~

First of all ~ I can't imagine you flopping at anything you do. Secondly ~ that can is just adorable and Ballard's should be contacting you to buy your idea. Thirdly ~ I get that "Whatcha doin' Mom" look all the time from Bentley ... AND I get it from my hubby too! Have fun on your antique hunting trip. You are lucky that your hubby shares your passion.

Love,
Susan and Bentley

Very cute Deb. But what's even cuter is how you incorporated a vignette in Lucy's little space. My oldest daughter was standing behind me when I was looking at this and went nuts when she saw Lucy!! Have a great weekend, Martina

This is a great creation!!
Your pug is adorable! My German Shepherd goes on hikes with a trainer and a pack of dogs...the one dog is a tiny pug!!! So adorable to see these huge dogs and little pug hiking the mountain!

I didn't know you are Italian? So am I!
I made a typo in my recipe. Thank goodness a kind blogger emailed me about it. I typed 14tsp of sugar (yikes)instead it should be 1/4 tsp! I have adjusted the post!!

Well I think it is not half that bad. It is good to show we are all human and things don't always turn out as we plan. sometimes we have a vision and when it doesn't look like our vision we think it is a flop. I happen to like what you have done with a paint bucket. take care

Lucy surely doesn't eat a ton of food at each feeding, so this humongous food can would be able to hold enough of her food for months! LOL
I think it's cute, Debbie- so where did it go? It didn't get relegated to "re-do land" did it? What was the flop?
Love her special dining space....
