Spray painting mason jars, Birthday, and Band!

My day has been a whirlwind today!
I can't believe how much I accomplished. Today is Mike's Birthday so first thing I want to say is Happy Birthday to my handsome wonderful husband! Poor guy had to work tonight, but I plan on making him a nice dinner tomorrow.
Second, Alex started BAND camp. 9:00 am to 9:00 pm! That is for the rest of the week. They take band extremely serious here. And believe me it shows.  Alex is starting High School this year and he is in Marching band. So he has A LOT to learn

He is the boy in the blue.
These kids in the heat of day, are learning how to march and hold their instruments.

I helped out some today and served the lunches.
Can I just say, Thank GOD I am not a lunch lady.  They work hard, fast and furious.
When it's time to eat, it's time to eat!

After that, I came home and picked up my little guy and we went running errands.  Almost back to school time, so I had to get back packs, and school supplies.  I also stopped in GOODWILL because Alex is having  a birthday 70's party on Saturday.

Today I decided I would set a nice table for dinner tomorrow.  I also had spray paint on my mind, so I shook up a few cans and painted some clear canning jars I picked up at Walmart a few weeks ago.

Don't ask me how or where I found the time. I get asked that question often...

I suppose I can say, I make time for the things and people I love.

Wow, they have to march all day in this horrible heat. I sure hope no one gets sick. Lots and lots of water. It is so strange that school is starting back.
Cute jars!

Thanks for stopping by....I remember those days in the band!Back in my day, we started marching & concert band in the 7th grade. Lucky ducks don't start now until the 8th or 9th grade. I have tons of memories being the band! Our local high school has an awesome band! BTW, did you spray the jars on the inside or outside? Cute idea!!! Have fun with all your upcoming parties! For some reason, I am able to leave comments now. For awhile, I couldn't!

Happy Bday to Mike!!! I know you will make it special! Those poor kids in the heat. I always feel bad when we drive by and see the boys in football gear out there. That is craziness! Love those jars!!! Girl, you have been busy!

Happy Birthday to Mike!

I adore those spray painted jars. I think part of their charm is the 'embossing' on the glass.

LOL -- that is definitely multi-tasking! I love the jars and believe I may be copying that today! Having a wedding 'after party' in our backyard Sunday and I was up at 5:00 a.m. realizing I'd planned everything but centerpieces -- these would be perfect!! I am decorating for the rehearsal dinner and reception so I didn't want something that is going to be too much work. Now let's see . . . Walmart opens in and hour and 15 minutes . . .

Thanks everyone. I spray painted these outside of course. I used pistachio and bahaus gold color by Krylon. And for the record, Alex is not outside all day, thank goodness. He is out early morning and later after dinner. Start of another long day today, catch up with you later.

I look forward to the day when the dog doesn't Bring in more mud than is left in the garden.

Your sweet little vases made me feel..."not long now". HURRAY!
