My day has been a whirlwind today!
I can't believe how much I accomplished. Today is Mike's Birthday so first thing I want to say is Happy Birthday to my handsome wonderful husband! Poor guy had to work tonight, but I plan on making him a nice dinner tomorrow.
Second, Alex started BAND camp. 9:00 am to 9:00 pm! That is for the rest of the week. They take band extremely serious here. And believe me it shows. Alex is starting High School this year and he is in Marching band. So he has A LOT to learn
He is the boy in the blue.
These kids in the heat of day, are learning how to march and hold their instruments.
I helped out some today and served the lunches.
Can I just say, Thank GOD I am not a lunch lady. They work hard, fast and furious.
When it's time to eat, it's time to eat!
After that, I came home and picked up my little guy and we went running errands. Almost back to school time, so I had to get back packs, and school supplies. I also stopped in GOODWILL because Alex is having a birthday 70's party on Saturday.
Today I decided I would set a nice table for dinner tomorrow. I also had spray paint on my mind, so I shook up a few cans and painted some clear canning jars I picked up at Walmart a few weeks ago.
Don't ask me how or where I found the time. I get asked that question often...
I suppose I can say, I make time for the things and people I love.

Happy B-day Mr. Doo's! Did you paint the jars on the inside or the outside? They look fantastic, do tell the colors used:)
Wow, they have to march all day in this horrible heat. I sure hope no one gets sick. Lots and lots of water. It is so strange that school is starting back.
Cute jars!

Love the jars. Happy birthday to your hubby. You had a busy day! I'm all over the place as well. When my son was younger, he drew a picture of me in a cape. I think you need one.
Some of my happiest high school memories come from being in our marching band. Hope your son continues to enjoy himself!
You are full of energy, that's how you get it all done.
Happy Birthday to your husband!
Love the spray painted jars...great idea.
Yes, school is gearing up around here too, Sydney started Space camp at the school today and loves it! Only about 3 1/2 more weeks of watching them:)
Love those jars you painted so sweet!
Happy Birthday to your hubby! Give him big birthday hugs from all of us! And enjoy this special time with family! I sure do miss my boys and all of the fun we had! ♥
My boy started band camp today also. He is a senior.
That marching block you took a pic of looks pretty darn good. I'm impressed.
You sure had a busy day! Happy Birthday to the hubby and those jars are too cute! Martina
So busy but it goes by too quickly! I remember those days!! Love the painted jars!
Happy Birthday to your hubby! You are both blessed to have such a strong family unit...and to celebrate another special day together. Love the jars too, by the way! xo Diana
Ha...cracking up at the lunch lady comment. I couldn't be one either!
The jars are adorable Debbie! I'm sure you will make Mike's birthday a very special one. I have a feeling you always make your loved ones feel special! :)
Thanks for stopping by....I remember those days in the band!Back in my day, we started marching & concert band in the 7th grade. Lucky ducks don't start now until the 8th or 9th grade. I have tons of memories being the band! Our local high school has an awesome band! BTW, did you spray the jars on the inside or outside? Cute idea!!! Have fun with all your upcoming parties! For some reason, I am able to leave comments now. For awhile, I couldn't!
Happy Bday to Mike!!! I know you will make it special! Those poor kids in the heat. I always feel bad when we drive by and see the boys in football gear out there. That is craziness! Love those jars!!! Girl, you have been busy!
You have been busy! I wish I had just a tiny bit of your energy! :) The jars turned out great. I've been considering painting some decorative items. Thanks for the inspiration!
Happy Birthday to Mike!
I adore those spray painted jars. I think part of their charm is the 'embossing' on the glass.
LOL -- that is definitely multi-tasking! I love the jars and believe I may be copying that today! Having a wedding 'after party' in our backyard Sunday and I was up at 5:00 a.m. realizing I'd planned everything but centerpieces -- these would be perfect!! I am decorating for the rehearsal dinner and reception so I didn't want something that is going to be too much work. Now let's see . . . Walmart opens in and hour and 15 minutes . . .
You sure are one busy and productive lady! Happy Birthday to Mike and I love the jars.
Have a wonderful day,
Gail
Happy Birthday to Mike and Alex,YOU always make it FUN,can't wait to see the photo's.

Thanks everyone. I spray painted these outside of course. I used pistachio and bahaus gold color by Krylon. And for the record, Alex is not outside all day, thank goodness. He is out early morning and later after dinner. Start of another long day today, catch up with you later.
Wow. Band camp brings back memories! Your son will probably never forget it! It's a good time. Love your jars. They look so fresh.
Why don't you bottle some of whatever it is you are taking so the rest of us can have as much energy as you have!
Happy Birthday to your Hubby! Enjoy!
Megan

Hey Ho Debbie, I love love love the colours of the jars. They are so good together. As you get closer to fall, here in New Zealand we can see spring approaching....YEAY! About bloody time! it has been a long, long, rainy winter.
I look forward to the day when the dog doesn't Bring in more mud than is left in the garden.
