Good ole' fashioned wood picnic table!

I always wanted a wood picnic table.
I had a few inquiries on this table, and I realized I never have shown it nor talked about it!
BLOG OP!

I have such fond memories growing up, hanging out  in my Grandparents back yard, cook outs and sitting around the picnic table.
When we decided we were going to take on the backyard makeover, the first thing I said to Mike is I want a picnic table.

Much to our surprise, they are very reasonable!
We scored this one at Lowes I believe for $99.00.
Ya know, I was thinking this would even make a great indoor kitchen table, if you wanted that farm house kind of look, and on a budget who can beat that price.
You can paint it an old white color, distress it, I think it would be really neat!

As you can see it comes Natural, with  a few nuts and bolts to skrew in....

We loved the colored stain so much with our chairs, we decided to do the table a stain versus painting as well.

Good product here, I would highly recommend!

There are lots of colors to choose from as well.  As you can see we chose Blue.

I was really set on bringing the indoors out, and wanted our backyard area to feel like an extension of our home, cozy, and colorful!

These Tiki's are really neat.  I purchased them at Walmart and they give a wider flame to appear like a real Tiki torch.

I can change up little vignettes outside as well.  Believe me the neighbors think I am so strange...
they always slow down and ask what am I doing now, I have seen some even shake their heads...

Quite frankly, I am having fun!

I know you must be dying to see the other side here behind the picnic table..

FINALLY complete!
I will be showing you on Monday for the Newbie party.

Have a great day.
Still time to get in on the magazine copy cat challenge
HERE

May be a small party as a I expected but I will tell you it is hopping with views and interaction.
THANK YOU!
XOXO

I LOVE your picnic table. I have really great memories at my nanny's house in the country. We always ate out on the picnic table..and colored everything. LOVE IT! Reagan has a mini picnic table but it only fits her.
I think I may invest in one for all of us. It reminds me of going camping too!

I too love a good old fashioned picnic table! We have one in the grove, right next to the chicken coop, underneath the shade of two orange trees. We spend many an afternoon out there, talking to the chickens, doing crafts, reading. Playing games. Sometimes we take our morning coffee out there on the weekend. Waiting for it to cool off for that! LOVE yours!!! Great look, and as I have said before...hubby and I are DYING to see your pizza oven. We want to put one it too!

My Gramma had a real live picnic table too =) I remember we would pick fresh strawberries and I would line them up and count them out. (I probably snuck a few too...) Your backyard space is so nice and I bet you are all thrilled to get your pizza oven done.

I love your pretty picnic table.
I like it stained MUCH better than painted and it will stay pretty longer.

I know you think your Copy party was small but it is growing...it always takes awhile to get things started. I hope you will give it a good chance to get going ....more and more will join the fun...I just know it. :))

Picnic tables are great places to make memories. We had one in our backyard when the kids were small. Lots of parties were there, lots of cookouts with friends, etc. I know you'll enjoy yours for years to come.

I think your new back yard setting looks amazing! I'm jealous. Mine doesn't look too hot. It's a bit boring actually. I love your fireplace with chairs around it and feel the same way about a picnic table. I grew up in the 70's and seemed like that was what everyone had. They are so practical. Thanks for the inspiration.

As for the neighbors I get it too the funny looks especially when I have the camera out. LOL!
