Spring mantel {not eggsactly what I thought!}

Finally, I finished my Spring Mantel just in time for sweet Shannon's part of the Spring'tacular party.  There is no way I would have let her down.  This is about the 4th time I changed it up since I started my Spring Mantel.
I finally settled on this one.
What I realize is pastel colors just do not work in our family room.

 I did buy some of the faux flowers from the dollar tree, and the pretty multi colored one from one of our local little shops here.

Along with the little birdie you see.

These candle eggs I have had for years now.  My MIL in Florida bought those for me, and they look like porcelain eggs.  I have never lit them.

Eggs seemed to be the theme.
Not eggsactly what I wanted...

Played in picnik, we don't have very long before it is bye bye...

Used my brass candle sticks to place the egg candles on..used some twine, an egg banner and found some cute eggs to hang from the twine.

And there you have my NOT eggsactly what I was looking for Spring Mantel.

Debbiedoos

Hope on over to Shannon's and link up your Spring mantels!~ Have a great night.

I like your little egg garland strung across the mantel. I find that when you can't work with a certain color, then just go neutral using the same ideas. Then you're safe and don't feel like it's so out of place in your room. I think that's why there are so many different color schemes for Christmas decor now.

Don't think pastels work on mine either. I'm not really sure what does work on mine. I have a St. Patricks thing going on right now and I wanted to change it for the mantel party, but looks like I won't be home to do that. So.... better the way it is than not at all.
