Decorating with Cloches for Spring

Spring cloche, vignettes for spring
Mucinex® has been giving away 10,000 free samples of Mucinex® extended-release bi-layer tablets on their Facebook page. This Thursday at 12:00 PM (noon) EST, they're giving away another 10,000 samples, and they'll do it again next Thursday, March 15. Just visit http://www.facebook.com/mucinex at noon (EST). Free is a great price for tablets that give 12 hours of chest congestion relief. This is a sponsored message from BlogHer and Mucinex®.
 Cloche, what's a cloche? Vignette,  what's a vignette?
Those are all things I had never heard of until I started blogging. Now, "HUH", not only do I know what they are, I too love them.  Vignettes I have been doing, as I am sure many of you have as well, FOREVER.

So onto  my Spring decorating with Cloches post.
I only have a few, nice, real ones per say, and I am always on the hunt for some that are reasonable.
My friend Fresh Deb, from Refresh style, posted about some Dollar tree cloches that she made from a wire basket.
They are super cute, and I knew I had to find some to make myself. Hey for a buck, seriously how could you go wrong?
You see I can copy cat too!

The nice thing about these little baskets is they were already white.
 So no need to paint them. Deb actually painted hers with some Annie Sloan chalk paint.  You can find Annie Sloan chalk paint HERE {my sponsor}
I just removed the handle which was easy peasy to slide off.

As you can see this one fit nicely over my cobalt blue bowl.  I filled it with gift wrap paper filler, some faux daisies, an egg and a cute little chickie.

The other one I used in the family room.  I had the knob already as well, and just stuck it through the hole and used my nut and bolt to tighten it.

Placed it on top of a pretty ceramic base I had to my glass cloche.

As you can see I am playing in picnik as long as I can.
sad face for sure!

You may recall this one in our guest bathroom.

I am excited to share this post with Marty's upcoming Cloche Spring party on March 13th.
I thought I would or could not make it, because I really did not have too much to share.
But as you can see a trip to the Dollar tree can take care of that.
Have a great day!
XO

And of course we cannot forget our Spring'tacular coming up soon!

REMEMBER there will be NO NEWBIE party next week March 12th.
This post is early because I have committments myself next week as you can see, and I had to squeeze this in for Marty.  I can't miss a partay:)  You know I like to be the life of it!!~ Just kidding:)

Debbie, they are so pretty and say spring. I got all my large glass cloches either at thrift stores or estate sales for very little money. I had no clue what a vignette was either, I did know cloches but only as a gardening tool...hehe. Thank you for reading my story it means more than I could ever say my dear friend. olive
