The daily "doos"

Today in the daily doos!
HA, that popped in my head, and I thought,  that sounds like a fun title! I decided I would make a slide show to share with you what was on this weeks  daily doos  agenda.
It was fun!

As you can see I have been busy!
A lot of people ask me, how I get so much done in a day.  Well, I really don't! It appears that way, but these things are spread out over the course of the week.
I am a multi-tasker to the best of my ability these days.  I used to be able to whip things out in no time.  Now, it takes me a wheee bit longer! How about you, are you a multi-tasker, or do you have to finish what you start?
I am getting ready for the Spring'tacular party! Hope to see you here beginning March 12th!
THERE will be NO NEWBIE party that day, the Magazine copy cat challenge will be in lieu of it.

Decorating with Burlap, painting with Chalk paint, and changing a vignette!

Yes all in a day's work! Decorating with burlap,
I painted with Chalk paint and of course one thing lead to another, had to change a vignette!

It all started with this old mini trunk we had.
Both Kim and Martina inspired me on this one!
I felt the need to lighten and brighten it.  I have plenty of burlap left, and do NOT want to waste it.

This is one of my new chalk paint colors...Arles is the color, and it is a real pretty yellow shade.

I really roughed  it up a bit.

I really like the touch of texture the burlap adds to the box.
I mod podged it on..
FUN!

Do you remember my Moss ball, that my friend made for me?
HERE you can read about it
Well I have had it since April, and it is still alive and well.

I love my old books that I have found mostly at Goodwill and thrift stores...my seltzer bottle in which my FIL gave to us.

Of course while I was in the painting mode, I had to step outside...
this is just a sneak peek.

Boys start back to school tomorrow (insert sad/happy face ______)
I am sad, yet happy and excited for them.
It has been a fabulous summer, it went by way tooooo fast though!~

Mod podge, painting and more,....Newbie party on!

This is an older post I am sharing with the
Graphics fairy Brag monday party.

I had this pretty tray in our bedroom for sometime now. I bought it at World market on clearance for 10.00.
It started to look BORING...
so I fixed her up..

First I spray painted in Olive, by Krylon, t
hen I took some simple gold metallic craft paint and applied it with a paper towel, and wiped and rubbed in evenly.
Took some sand paper and sanded the edges..I let the natural color come through as well, for that aged chippy look
New pillow from Marshalls..loves it!

I found some cute graphics from the graphic fairy website, printed, cut, and Mod podged them on.
Easy!

How about we get this newbie party started?
You know the rules?
Blogging 6 months or less, and/or less than 100 followers.
Link your post back to me saying you are joining the newbie party, or just add my button.
I would love if you became a new friend as well.
Let's get started!
Have fun, and be sure to visit the gals that visit you....

I will be joining:
Graphics fairy Brag Monday.

COOL Beans is what I say.
check it out...
Tonya wrote a beautiful little segment about me and my blog.  Some gals differed with her, she says I am CHEAP! I take that as a compliment, as she is correct indeed!
Our home is a mixed bag. I have some things that were a little pricey, and some things not so much,
in fact these days most things not so much. I like to show my readers what you too can do with little money.
Look beyond a piece, it may look like junk, however, with a little thought and a little vision,
you too can turn into a little gem of your own.
Read what Tonya has to say.

And wait just a minute, it does not get better than this!
Amy from Mod Podge Rocks is featuring my very first Mod podge project! You girls made my day, no wait a minute, my year!https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF6GWEsllEkdoffM7TOw3zpAsNUMW2ONrDd62xIKk-LqQOq6twR2-Qc8AhIS0-g30fG9cw_3x-OD5VzavmSZc-4V-xaLhekn9U2SXwVVE0NT2Vwbcko1i7Giip-rvi04SnjSFCyUsuIg9L/s400/Mod+Podge+clay+pots.JPG

These days, I am thinking  of Spring ideas, what colors, what fun in the garden, and where my roosters will land this season.
I guess you have to stay tuned to see for yourself.
In the meantime, don't forget about my newbie party come Monday. It is going very well for the girls. They are making new connections, and new friends. I appreciate all the lovely emails you all send me raving about the party.
I obviously could not do it without you.

And girls, you must get in on this gorgeous piece, that can be yours!
