A little home made ViNo anyone?

I made a hot pot  trivet using corks....fun, easy and looks cute too....
First I started off with three bags of corks purchased at Walmart for 3.00 each........
I lined them up the way I wanted the trivet to look and then I used my handy dandy hot glue gun and glued them together.  Took about 15 minutes and I have something unique and I can use it!

Home made wine by my father in law...he even has the cutest labels, and uses the best grapes from Upstate New York....good stuff, now I am a snob to other wines...which have sulfates (sp) in them....his wine is all organic, the abundant grape flavors are just fantastic!
Have a great weekend all my blogging buddies! Mike is off and we have parties to attend, soccer games, and movies planned.  See you On Monday! Have a wonderful Mother's day! Enjoy, relax, and pamper yourself, you deserve it!
Thanks to all these lovely hosts for making  these linky parties happen, making it all possible for us to strut our stuff! Now go check out some more!~:)

Bought corks? That's cheating :-)
I got my corks the old fashioned way - by drinking! Great idea. Now I know what to do with my bowls of corks. Thanks Deb!

That is just too cute, I love it! I had no idea you could buy corks...especially at Walmart of all places.

I've heard that it's the sulfite in wine that gives people headaches. My best friend went to Italy and she said they had no wine headaches while they were there! Your FIL's labels are lovely. Have a fun weekend and I love your bar:)

I just threw away a whole basket of corks when we moved!!! Between this awesome idea and Beth's at Stories of A to Z with her framed corks, I could kick myself in the bum!!!! Even in a big apothecary jar is just too cute. Aaaarrrgggghhhh! All this cleaning and purging does have its drawbacks! I would love a glass of that wine! When shall I be there???? :-)

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to you!!!

The trivet is simply lovely! Although half the fun in making these could come from personally "acquiring" the corks (hic!), I'm glad to hear Walmart has them readily available for craft projects. Hot gluing could be oh so dangerous, when gunning under the influence. LOL!

That's so funny! I have been thinking about doing a trivit w/my corks...let me know how yours holds out. I really like the sound of your FIL's wine! Even though I am a wine drinker I am allergic to sulphates...very red & rashy the more there is. I have to watch this with the wines I buy. Would love his! Check out my blog I just posted today..I've been looking forward to this one. Hope you have a wonderful Mother
s Day too!

Too clever, Debbie!! I always see those corks in a package at Target and wonder what I could do with them besides putting them in a vase! Would be better if I had enough corks on my own without having to buy them!!!! Have a great weekend!

Love it. Thanks for the Walmart tip, because that would be entirely too many bottles for us to drink, otherwise.
