A little home made ViNo anyone?
I made a hot pot trivet using corks....fun, easy and looks cute too....
First I started off with three bags of corks purchased at Walmart for 3.00 each........
I lined them up the way I wanted the trivet to look and then I used my handy dandy hot glue gun and glued them together. Took about 15 minutes and I have something unique and I can use it!
Home made wine by my father in law...he even has the cutest labels, and uses the best grapes from Upstate New York....good stuff, now I am a snob to other wines...which have sulfates (sp) in them....his wine is all organic, the abundant grape flavors are just fantastic!

Awesome! I love homeade vino. Dandelion wine is a fave! Love the trivet! You rock again!
Bought corks? That's cheating :-)
I got my corks the old fashioned way - by drinking! Great idea. Now I know what to do with my bowls of corks. Thanks Deb!
That is just too cute, I love it! I had no idea you could buy corks...especially at Walmart of all places.
I've heard that it's the sulfite in wine that gives people headaches. My best friend went to Italy and she said they had no wine headaches while they were there! Your FIL's labels are lovely. Have a fun weekend and I love your bar:)
I just threw away a whole basket of corks when we moved!!! Between this awesome idea and Beth's at Stories of A to Z with her framed corks, I could kick myself in the bum!!!! Even in a big apothecary jar is just too cute. Aaaarrrgggghhhh! All this cleaning and purging does have its drawbacks! I would love a glass of that wine! When shall I be there???? :-)
Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to you!!!
I have just purchased some corks at Target...maybe I will give this a try...GREAT IDEA!
Blessings,
Linda
The trivet is simply lovely! Although half the fun in making these could come from personally "acquiring" the corks (hic!), I'm glad to hear Walmart has them readily available for craft projects. Hot gluing could be oh so dangerous, when gunning under the influence. LOL!
Cute idea! I did not know you could buy corks at WM ! Learn something new everyday. :D Enjoy your weekend & Happy Mother's Day!!
It would have been a lot more fun to get corks from drinking all those bottles! lol! Cute idea!
what a great craft and useful to so cute Deb i love your father in laws lables .Who would think you can buy corks i had a wreath made of corks a friend gave me along time ago wish i saved those dang corks:)
What...you bought corks.... You needed to drink a little char or cab don't you? Turned out cool. Does the glass really balance on it...
Kate
Debbie, look how creative you are getting girl. Love it. I didn't know Wally World carried those. Send some of that good organic wine my way. Have a super weekend and a wonderful Mother's Day.

What a great idea Deb!! And the homemade wine looks good too, I could sure go for a glass right about now!! Have a wonderful Mothers Day! Martina
That's so funny! I have been thinking about doing a trivit w/my corks...let me know how yours holds out. I really like the sound of your FIL's wine! Even though I am a wine drinker I am allergic to sulphates...very red & rashy the more there is. I have to watch this with the wines I buy. Would love his! Check out my blog I just posted today..I've been looking forward to this one. Hope you have a wonderful Mother
s Day too!
What a fun idea! Love it :)
Thats so cool!!! I love me some good wine!!!
Happy Mothers Day to you too!!!
Hi Debbie, love your wine cork trivet and I love your Pub room! I have a dinning room that is behind velvet ropes (nobody is allowed in)- I'd love to use that space more than a couple times a year! Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day! ~Marcy

Too clever, Debbie!! I always see those corks in a package at Target and wonder what I could do with them besides putting them in a vase! Would be better if I had enough corks on my own without having to buy them!!!! Have a great weekend!

My father makes homemade wine as well...with homemade labels (designed by my graphic designing blogging daughter) so I started to chuckle when I read that part.
Blessings to you!

Adorable! Great job.
Happy Mother's Day. Love that cork trivet. I am so jealous you get organic homemade wine!
Love it. Thanks for the Walmart tip, because that would be entirely too many bottles for us to drink, otherwise.
