GoiNG Green

I wanted to share more outdoor area with you. And I see the party is about outdoor entertaining.  I have an old post with some inspiration here, so why not share.

Of course a little color for ya! I would love to paint the deck railings white, however my husband will not allow me too, he likes it all natural!~ Oh this rooster was once black...I am sure somewhere on a kitchen post you will see him black, he looks pretty happy orange, for now!

Up date on the Topsie Turveys...they are out of control...in other words, they really work if you are thinking about it...we have had three banana peppers already, we ate em, so I can't show you..they where delish!

I was so excited for Spring I could not wait to do a table scape.....but now I really look forward to being outdoors here.

You remember my first Modge Podge project with the herbs right? Well I do not do well with herbs...they died about three weeks into it....so now I planted this ivy...doing well! Of course in between all this cleaning, led to a spray paint project.  This little guy was screaming for color, he was begging me all day, finally I caved in...then along the way some little wooden birds became very jealous...so they got it too!

I have had this lucky guy for many years now...bought him in South Florida...I always liked him, but he was getting kinda boring!
Now he is talking proud!
These guys faded over time, needed some life!

'That's all folks!
Linking up with some of my favorite parties: Thank you all for hosting! Thanks for stopping by, let me know you where here, I would love to come and visit you too!~

Debbie,
I just love your deck in the shade. Boy, I wish we had shade. We use to until the trees had to come down from rotting. I love your deck railings. Don't go white. We did a few years back and they constantly turned black with mildew and had to be cleaned. I am sure my brown ones do too now, but a lot harder to see. I love your table and chairs. Love the new green color on your handsome rooster, too. What a nice place to hang out without roasting like a pig!

I love your table and chairs. I would love something similar to yours. I prefer chairs like these because it's the only ones that the cats don't leave mounds of hair all over. My cats always think they need to sit with us when we are on the deck, and grab a vacant chair. LOL! We had a huge oak where the lower deck is when we first moved in. It was beautiful and gave us plenty of shade and a huge allergy mess for me too! Also, I was always so worried in the event of a storm it would destroy our house. However, in this kind of weather, it sure would be nice to have the shade on the deck again! Love all your colorizing! It looks great. Nice photos of everything all greened up. Sorry didn't mean to write a book, but you have so much to comment on. :))

I love your deck Debbie!! It kind of reminds me of mine (with the trees) but I need to work on cleaning of the cobwebs and leaves!! You've inspired me to clean it up and take some pix!!
All your pops of color are great.
Question about the topsy turvys..are they hanging from trees and if so, how do they get enough sun?

Love your table pictures, you even cut a line for the water pitcher, it's all in the details. So, you have to tell us about that candle thingy around the umbrella pole, i have never seen that before! what a great place to hang out for the summer, now back to vacation!

If I didn't know better I would think we lived next door to each other. That is exactly what the rear of our home looks like. We are completely wooded, and I love it. I agree. All the green leaves makes it just heavenly. I love all your summer decor. Very nice.

Debbie, The deck looks great. Love the oak tree. Don't cut the limb. you will regret it. It is so lovely. I am sure there is an entire miniature world up in that tree. You sure have things all ready for the summer. I know you will enjoy it all. As for the paint. Maybe the railings but not the floor. We painted our decks and porches years ago and have to redo it so often. I wish we had left the floors natural. The peeling and scraping is not fun. We have tried everything including industrial coatings. Nothing stands up to the constant weathering. I love stopping by to see you. Have a great summer!! Hugs, Granny

Oh Debbie, I just love the black lighted laterns you have (half way?) around your deck. You must have beautiful deck parties out there I bet. You know your lawn furniture is great, but I also like that one small colorful planter with the ivy and other potted plants. That makes me know I have to get at least one or two decoupage or some kind of interesting print planter to make my porch pop and feel homey like that. It's the little things. I also have to look into getting some kind of lanterns just for show, since there's no way I'm getting an electrician to come out to put in lights. But I can get something that looks good. Anyway, this was fun and thanks for being so generous with your pictures. Your deck is fabulous!

Lovely deck Debbie :D I so hear you on painting your deck white! Tell DH he will appreciate the fact that he will not have to "seal" the natural deck wood once he paints it white! My DH loved it after we painted our huge deck in our last house white...no only that...the deck matched the trim on the house and it made the brick siding "pop". Our realto said it was a big selling point when we sold two years ago...so maybe this will help persuade your DH...lol
