Three blind mice

First I have to tell you....in the past week, I have been featured over at HOUZZ twice. It was very exciting to see our bedroom and French poster as the feature. Then today, I noticed a snippet of our front porch featured. I was excited!~ When looking over the other features I saw these cute little mice silhouttes going up stairs.  Well, they talked about where to find them...which is MICHAEL's crafts. Martha Stewart has a very cool line of these and I may go back next week to get more fun stuff.  So off I went....and I bought me some Mice and spiders! I bought one pack each at $4.99. I will show you what I did with those....

I also was in a crafting kind of mood. I know my track record has not been so good. However, I did OK today, IMO and wanted to share.  I had some left over orange burlap. I see everyone wrapping vases, and planters and thought I would give it go. Of course I added just a hint of embellishing to mine. First up...my MICE
The boys got a real kick out of these when they came home from school. You do know I do this all for them right????

These topiaries are Real

Had a few mice left over, and thought I would jazz up this corner

I even modge podged this bottle that I use for dish soap

These paper cut outs I had since last year, purchased at the Dollar tree. No haste no waste, I used them this year on something different. My embellishments and soap bottle. I just cut out the eyes, mouth, bats, etc..... I may do more with the scraps.

I also want to mention there will be NO garage salen party this weekend.  We are going on a family road trip. I will have my laptop, and may catch up here and there, however, I really like to be dedicated to the partay, and this weekend I just won't have the time.  So this gives you another week to go thrifting and score some more!!~

I have seen these mice before too and my favorite is them going up the stairs like you have them! Sadly, I have carpet on my stairs...would this be too flimsy of an excuse for ripping it up? :-) Love seeing all of your great fall decor!

The orange burlap is very festive! I have not seen it before. I just used the mice on a project too. And I used muslin for a contrast behind the mice -burlap would have been a good choice -especially orange! You can take a look here:
