M is for MADNESS, and yet more chalk paint projects in the making.
( FUNNY to see my thoughts last year) And I said I would NEVER be in a magazine!
I did not distress it, I liked how creamy and smooth it looked. |

I love red, but I agree that the M looks better painted grey. What amazes me beyond belief is how clean your son's room is!!! I don't think I can even see the floor in my son's room! He must be a really tidy person!
ummmmm NO, I cleaned it for the picture:)
Oh yes I remember the red paint massacre in the garage, I think I had just met you and I was laughing out loud!!
Carol
I love the new grey M. You're right...it is a much more mature looking color. Thanks for joining in my Swing into Spring party and congrats for being the first one at the party.
Love that in the gray and yep, lose the red with the bad memories!
I love this M painted grey and i am glad you did not distress it! Looks perfect.
I have to say i love your son's room and bed! I would love to get my son a bed like this one day.
Great room!!
Looks great, Debbie! I remember the red paint fiasco!... er the diy disaster! Oy!
now thats a lovely tidy room,, wish my boy had this tidy gene, lovely paint job,, I didn't see the red one,,
Oh I love the new color. It is so much better and you really need to get rid of bad memories. This one is great. Hugs, Marty
Oh yes, I needed to refresh my memory about the red M. How could I forget that? The gray makes it looks much more polished & has no bad memories attached to it.
I like the grey, too! Well done.
Because I am new I just read about the red incident... wow we all have days like that. really want to try the chalk paint but not available in Canada. costly to ship
New link party looks like fun, hope to join in.

Good idea to get rid of the "red memory" :) The gray on the M looks great and fits in nicely. I love quick pick me ups!
I remember that day well. I think it takes on a whole new look now. And is so much better that we have put that bloody red in our past. But, how is the garage floor doing? Any new colors around.
I had to go and read about that day, OH WOW Yea I say much better in grey..
Pattie
I'm so sad,, I just cannot link to your newbie party,, I've joined your party four weeks in a row but for some reason it said my blog name is invalid,,, but I will still visit all the other newbies,,
I had to read about that day. How horrible but hilarious! I would have gotten rid of the red reminder a long time ago.
Yep...Nothing worse than a RED M by a bed...just hanging there waiting for the big M day! Sooo much better this color! xo Diana
I need to read the post about the red paint massacre, but the new "M" looks great! And so does your son's room!
Your sons room is so nice and CLEAN, love it! I agree, I like the new paint color better. XOXO ~Liz
I love both colors but remember the story. :) The new color looks great!

Your son's room is darling and I like the gray much better. Isn't it funny how such a small change can make a difference?
I love the 'M' painted gray.
Dee
For me it's usually good to NOT see red! Lol! And I can tell it was good for you too! looks great in a more muted color Debbie! Vanna
Isn't it funny how the smallest tweaks sometimes yield the biggest changes? LOVE the bedding by the way.
I remember the 'story', but I had to go back and look at it again. You're so funny. What a mess that was!
I like the new color for your 'M'. I don't think I would want to distress is either. Some of the red would show through!! :)
Hope you're having a great week.
You are hilarious! I just loved reading your old post and cracked up about the "never be in a magazine" part! I'm thinkin' I would want the red gone too after that craziness and I love the calm soothing impact it now has. Thanks for sharing this (and the back story!) with us at Inspiration Friday my friend~
