Diy Burlap framed art work {color trends for 2012}
I was also excited to see that my color scheme is the hot new {color trends for 2012}
HERE...
that was a huge hit and a big pin on pinterest, so I assumed you all like it.
CeCe Caldwells sent me this little sample pot. I love the color and thought I would try it out.
Hard for me to give a fair assessment of this paint, as it was such a small sample and small project.
As mentioned, I do love the color, and it was easy to work with. The clear wax darkens the color...which I liked as well.
I try to do most of my projects economically and fun!
If you are a guest in our home, You will be eating well, having fun, and for sure sleeping like a baby by the end of the day.
I think our guest room has an anthopolgie feel, without the anthropolgie price tags.
The bedding is from World Market, pillows from Target and the owl is from Kirklands.
the lamp: Bed bath and beyond, embellished with some burlap flowers..or should I say circles.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed your visit. I also hope I inspired you to make some of you own cheap DIY art work.

I would say I have them covered!
I do not follow color trends, or even design trends for that matter. I did find it interesting however, that our guest room color scheme is HOT this year.

Your room is lovely, Debbie...cheery and welcoming! I need to think of re-using frames like that more often! Love the idea of stenciling on burlap!
Wonderful. Burlap and canvas are my materials of choice lately too. I love the texture and the down to Earth-i-ness (like that word ? )

Pretty - You did good! :) Your guest room looks a lot better than mine. As I clean out/declutter unfortunately that is where most of it goes until I can decide where it will go.
I don't do anthropologie prices either.
Enjoy your evening.
This is a very neat project that I think I could manage! Love your guest room...it does look right out of Anthro!

P.S. I really, really like the new paint color. Looks very similar to the bedroom furniture you painted.
I LOVE the room - it definitely makes me smile too :-)
I have a teal paisley couch I suppose I could toss some tangerine tango pillows on. But I think it would look like a 60's drug trip.

Debbie, This is just great. I love that color and I have a lot of the turquoise/teal in my home. I have always loved those colors. I am trying for just the right piece of red coral for my bedroom. That would definitally bring it into the 2012 color scheme.
Did a see some little red flowers in the background. I hope you liked them.
