Spring mantel,Pallet project,Mod podge, and a gorgeous china cabinet

Happy Sunday, Happy day!
I plan on seeing a lot of you later on today for the Copy cat challenge.
Remember NO NEWBIE party, the party starting tonight is strictly for copy cats.  Let's go ahead and feature some newbies from last week.
First up,
a gorgeous Spring Mantel

Tam, displays so many pretties here.  It just made me smile.

Next, I have to say my heart went a little pitter patter on this one.

Now this is a fantastic pallet project. Nice job to Newlyweds on a Budget

Now you all know I love mod podge too...
this is adorable for Spring.

What meegan makes is so cute.

Candy's little chair project is way too cute too...

Last feature today is by Zuni, she shares her lovely St. Patrick' s day china cabinet.

Thank you everyone for joining me each week.
I am proud to say every participant does receive views.  It is up to you to make the friendships and connections.  This is why I have the party...FOR YOU!

ALSO, Please NOTE, you really should be watermarking your photo's.
You can do this through picasa

There are many options out there.  This is for your protection. If someone pins your photo and there is no credit back to you, well how would do they know it is your photo?  You should want your name out there to protect your photos.  Thank you.

Mod podge pumpkin! {Fall decorating}

Love playing with mod podge!
and I love Fall decorating!
Pumpkins are of course all the decorating rage now, with Fall and Halloween of course they would be. I had a plan!
Remember this?.....

ahhhh..yes, I had a vision...

I hunted and gathered some pretty Fall leaves from our backyard....

WELL, things did not work out for me with this project...
oh crap now what?

hmmm....I have this very old cookbook that I scored from an antique store some time ago.
I love how some is even hand written and other recipes are pinned in the book.

I suppose I could make a kitchen recipe mod podge pumpkin!
So that's what I did....

I was able to mod podge the outdoor leaves, and topped off the pumpkins with them.

Maybe this was a better idea, than the original!

I even left the pins in tact.

Check out some of the pages, talks about phosphates and energy, etc...
pretty neat.  What I am gathering is this woman would cut out recipes from the paper that she liked, then pin them in her own personal cook book.  Not sure just a guess.
Oh btw, all these pages I used were loose leaf.
I did not tear anything out, they were already falling out.

And here you have my mod podge kitchen recipe pumpkin!

Perhaps there are more out there in google/blog land, but I checked and did not see a specific kitchen recipe one.
If you do, let me know I would love to see it.

Another cute idea would be to mod podge some terra cotta pots with the kitchen recipe, and then add herbs to the pots...
see my mind is already thinking ahead!

DIY Halloween artwork {mod podge and graphics fairy} {Newbie party too}

When I tell you this Halloween DIY art work took me all of 15 minutes, that would be the truth of the matter!
My attention span is very small, so I like quickies!
You can take that any way you would like!
Anyhow, I am moving onto Halloween now, and thought I would change up my kitchen vignette.
How many times do you have to see this corner of my kitchen you are asking?
Well at least it is different each time and you can view the many art work changes

Have you ever done a project that was so easy, you started to think, how can this even look that good?
That is what I was thinking while doing this.
I tell you, I was the worlds worst crafter until I started blogging and getting more experience and inspiration.
Grant you, I am still not great by no means, but I have come pretty far.

Let me give you a quick tutorial on how I did this.
FIRST:  I found my graphic from the Graphic's fairy.
I burned the edges of the graphic with a lighter, over the sink, made a mess, cleaned up, moved on....
I had this large white canvas sheet that I have used for photo backdrops.
I paid a 1.99 for it at hobby lobby.

I measured it out per my frame and used an exacto knife to cut the board.
I then took my craft paints, first the penny color and wiped it all over with a paper towel.
I then used the black on top and rubbed it all in.
There was my backdrop for the art work.

I lightly sanded the board as well.
I took my graphic and mod podged it on the board.

Embellished with some bats and spiders.....

I had everything on hand once again.  This project was a lot of fun, and very, very simple!

It was an absolutely gorgeous day here today!
Enjoy yours, make it great one!
XO

We are the World, we are the children....

I love busting my posts into songs...makes me happy!!~
So I have seen some of these globe projects around here in the blogosphere.
I thought that is so cute.
I have seen them chalkboard the globe, and outline some states.
I thought I would put a Debbiedoo's special on it.
SO that I did...

What I did after I sprayed the chalkboard spray. Let it dry, then I added some scrap book stickers, cut out some pictures of my boys that I printed out, and mod podged the entire globe.
I then  took my chalk and outlined randomly....I think it's pretty cool!!~
and so do they:) They have their own customized art on a globe.
In the meantime I found some cool knobs at World Market, so I changed those out too on this
little nightstand that I recently painted and stenciled.

Still a chance HERE for that pretty necklace

DIY coasters, bridal gift

Saturday night I had a bachelorette party to attend.
I decided to make some DIY coasters as an extra for the gift.
This is a second marriage for both, and the the theme of the party for my friend was suppose to be lingere'.
My friend and I decided we would make a romantic gift basket instead.  Assuming she would get plenty of pretties...which she did!
These coasters I just happened to have, and I thought, I could do something fun with these.
Hence, I did.  I also had the paper from a long ago project I did on my vanity tray in my
bathroom
These are the before coasters...
Now you girls know the rules to my party right?
Well if you don't here they are for ya..
Blogging 6 months or less, and/or less than 100 followers...
Aren't these cute? Of course Mod podge, and a little wrapping paper is all I used, and I applied a craft copper color paint and sanded it, along with the edges of the coasters.
Oh and girls...let's NOT forget about Word verification.
TURN IT OFF.
Last week was wonderful...I do believe I visited every link that joined in,
because you girls made it easy for me
XO
Have you ever had this chocolate wine?
Hope it's good!
One last thing....
If you are not a friend of Mine...
I would love for you to be....
Ya know, I am a pretty cool friend, I'm just sayin'
And Please be sure to add my button or link to your post, so that others know about the party as well.
Have fun...
XO
And please be kind and visit those whom have visited you.
P.S.  After my friend and I had put this basket together, I forgot my camera.
It has so many cute things in it.
Bubble bath, red champagne glasses that said cheers, Picture frame,
Do not disturb sign, chocolate, mini wine bottles, some heart tea towels, chocolate fortune cookies...
just a fun romantic theme for her and her new hubs.
Oh and the basket was hounds tooth fabric...it was so cool.
Thank you for all your well wishes and prayers on my BOOBS!
They appreciate it, and so do I

Newbie party is going strong!

Hi there!
Linking this post to Somewhat simple party!
I have been looking forward to this day for a few weeks now.
This IN FACT, is the first newbie Linkie party ever in all of the land. Blog land that is.
This is for blogs 6 months or less, and/or under  100 followers.
I have a good feeling you will make lots of new blogging friendships from this day forward.
Make blogging whatever you want it to be. My husband just asked me today "Is blogging still a labor of love for you"? My answer was Yes!
There is creativity everywhere. Just look around, it is like looking at the best of magazines, except with people like you and I who are the authors and illustrators.

Make it your own, well, you can copy, but just shout it out that you did so....
After all this is blogland. Where else to come for inspiration? And for me, imitation is truly the biggest form of flattery!
There is one thing, that not one person in all of the land, can ever duplicate or knock off, and that would be your PERSONALITY!
So let it shine, shine shine!

Have fun!
Enjoy,  and visit one another. If you feel a connection, follow along.
This is your day!
Link up, add my button or link back.
If your not a friend , I've missed you. Join in today!
Just have fun girls...now take it away!

MY button recently disappeared. So if you have one on your blog, you may need to re add it. It is a mystery what exactly happened!

In case you were wondering..Yes  I was playing with Mod today!

Speaking of Mod.  Have you ever been to Mod Podge rocks blog? Since I discovered her blog last year, I fell in love with the stuff.  She in fact has been a big source of inspiration for my crafting!
She will even show you tutorials on mod podge. You can mod just about anything these days.
Here are just a few of mine:

Sugar and Spice
Holiday ornaments
Loving the Mod
Just call me Mod

I have several more, but you get the gist!

Still lovin the Modge

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3179/2784504231_22ff5f74f4_m.jpgI have to tell you I am loving these clay pots.  The possibilities are endless.  They are very cheap too.  I bought my 12 inch one at Walmart for 7.00.  The little ones you can get for a dollar sometimes at the dollar tree.  Anyhow this is the latest on my Modge Podge.  Again using all my Elle Decor magazines, I sat down and looked for all my color inspiration.  That magazine has the best photos.  Good thing for me, I was given all those mags because I think it may be pricey otherwise.  I used about three different ones to come up with this.

Not sure if I like the pot by the front door, or by the FP what do you think?

THis pot has been moved three times...It now resides outdoors
