Chair makeover
Here is my first participation with a thrift store find. Have I ever mentioned there was a time I had a shabby chic room? Now you would never have thought that in comparison to our current style. Our guestroom in our South Florida home was shabby chic from head to toe...I adored it, and it was a great place for guests to relax. When we moved to the Carolinas I thought I would change it up a bit. One birthday my husband had given me this very cool shabby chic chair to go in our former guest room, he found it at a thrift store in South Florida that specialized in Shabby chic finds. When we moved here I had him store in our attic. I seriously thought I will never use it, however, it did have meaning to me...the fact that he was so thoughtful to buy it. The other day a light bulb went off and I remembered the chair was up there, so I asked Mike if he would pull it down for me. I know he was thinking, oh geez another project! Yep it was, fun, simple and totally transformed......
This project took me all of 30 minutes. I bought the fabric at Hobby Lobby for $3.00. The paint I used was espresso color......
ties into the bedding......which I will be showing you more of our guestroom soon
This is the after, it looks like an entirely different chair.
Just a sneak peak into the guest room....I have a fun project I am working on.....
So let the party begin, what have you found lately? I will be linking up with some more awesome parties this week: Thanks so much to all these lovely hosts. PLEASE remember to link your post back to my party as well if you are participating. And be kind and check out few other of these awesome posts. These gals are so kind and I am sure they will do the same for you in return.

Debbie, I'm taking a break to link up to your party! Writing a post & taking photos is much more fun than filling holes in molding and touching up paint!
Love your chair and the fabric!
I have to make my grocery shopping list so we can hit the store but I will post something tomorrow. Can it be something I found in the dumpster?

Coreen
What a great chair...LOVE that fabric! I linked up (it is a post from a few weeks ago...hope that's OK!) Cannot wait to see the lamp. I adore shabby chic...hubby hates it...therefore we don't have it. I need to go back to wife school.
You have certainly transformed that chair, looks very inviting. I am relatively new to blogging and although I comment on other bloggers post and post my own. I never participate in give aways or link up, but this one hit home as it is one of the things I have enjoyed apart from my work and dressmaking. See you soon
Such a clever and creative girl. My heart is going pitty pat.
Hi Debbie, What a fun party idea! I would have loved to join in but I only recently bought something from GW and SA two days ago. My first big score, yay! I never tag sale and I really have been missing out when I see all the great bargains everyone gets while out on a hunt. I will definitely link up next week. Your chair came out fabulous; it looks like it was professional refinished, great job, girl!! Thanks for visiting and leaving your kind comment. Best wishes on your new party, it will be a hit for sure, I love your idea! Rock on!
Hugz,
Kim

I always like peaking inside your home Debbie. I absolutely love what you did to that chair. The coffee color did the trick and worked great with the fabric you picked out. I can't wait to see the lamp. Hey, what an unusual colorful bed spread you have too...okay, I look at everything.
